The pandemic is slowly ramping down in Montreal, and the city is slowly deconfining. However, deaths and new infections continue to affect the communities of which we are a part, and especially marginalized communities and working class neighbourhoods. The recent decisions by the government concerning the reopening of businesses and public spaces seem to us to be much more motivated by economic interests than concern for public health.
At the beginning of January, some clients of Koumbit were victims of attacks aiming to silence them by making their website inaccessible, leading to some network performance issues. First, we want to highlight that this type of attack does not involve any data leak. Second, as Koumbit workers, we want to explain how these attacks could affect you, and what are our solutions to deal with them.
We have recently put in place a survey to facilitate and uniformize the application process to our Solidarity Rates program.

The Koumbit team is happy to be able to offer new additions to our managed Drupal hosting service which are available henceforth. These new features are only available for Drupal 7 and Drupal 8 sites hosted in this service.

Koumbit will be closing the OpenID service running on "id.koumbit.net" on the 1st of July 2017. From that moment on, you will no longer be able to log in to various sites with your Koumbit OpenID, including redmine.koumbit.net. If you do not currently use OpenID through id.koumbit.net, you do not need to take any action.
If you use OpenID, please ensure that you have alternative credentials to connect on the various sites and services you access before id.koumbit.net is shut down.
Koumbit's Infrastructure team would like to inform you of a hardware upgrade that we have done on the main HAG server that handles all of your email.
Checking your email through Koumbit will now be faster! We also hope that this upgrade will help us provide a more stable service.
A major upgrade of the AlternC control panel and associated servers took place on Sunday, June 15th. The upgrade went well, and most services resumed operations soon after. There were however some bugs for which we apologize. You will also apreciate some new features.
