Koumbit is a self-managed not-for-profit organisation founded in Montreal/Tio'tia:ke in 2004. We want to offer an ethical alternative to the corporate tech industry. We do this by using free and open source software, by prioritizing data privacy and technological autonomy, and by considering IT on a human scale. We want to help you gain back control over your data and support your in this journey. We offer web services including hosting, website development and systems administration.
We are self-managed, meaning the Conseil de travail (Council of Workers), formed by the Koumbit workers, is sovereign in decision-making.
Membership in Koumbit is open to individuals and organisations that share Koumbit's values.
Koumbit is a proud supporter of community groups, organisations, and activists, both locally and internationally. Our technological choices are adapted to the needs of these groups, and built entirely using free and open source software.
