Migration to WordPress and website overhaul

The Conseil d'économie sociale de l'île de Montréal (CESIM) is Montreal's social economy development authority, whose mission is to promote and amplify this movement. Its mandate is to promote and support the emergence, development and consolidation of social economy businesses and projects, while fostering dialogue and partnerships with local and regional players. Recognized by the Agglomération de Montréal, CESIM acts as a Pôle régional en économie sociale, like the 21 other Pôles régionaux in Quebec.

The organisation's needs:

• Support the CESIM in its website overhaul: new visual identity, new website design, new content structure and navigation.
• Transfer the website to a user-friendly content management system that is compatible with CiviCRM.
• Implement a more seamless data integration between the WordPress content management system and the CiviCRM toolset.
• Empower the CESIM team to manage the website content autonomously.

Our proposal:

• Create an export from the previous website of the organisation and import them in WordPress, adapting the content to the new structure (categories, uploads, etc.).
• In collaboration with Yako and Coop SymbioTIC, rethink the website structure and navigation and implement a new web design that reflects the organisation's visual identity update.
• Create a custom WordPress theme to implement the new visual identity as well as reusable blocks to facilitate the creation and update of content.
• In collaboration with Coop SymbioTIC, implement a dynamic listing of social economy enterprises, and implement a system that links together website content and entreprise listings.
• Create custom code to fetch data (entreprise listings, publics events) from the CiviCRM database.
• Prepare documentation and run a training workshop to empower the CESIM team to manage their website content autonomously.
