We want to share this statement from the Together Against Apartheid campaign, which we support:
"I am signing this pledge because I recognize that Israeli apartheid is real.
I will not be afraid to use the word apartheid to describe the situation facing Palestinians. “Apartheid” accurately captures the actions and policies of the Israeli government as defined under international law and as documented by organizations including Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, Al-Haq and B’Tselem.
I understand that criticizing Israeli policies and practices denying Palestinian human rights is not antisemitic. I will stand up for people wrongly accused of antisemitism for supporting Palestinian human rights.
I am committed to solidarity with the Palestinian people in support of universal human rights and I call on politicians and community leaders to hold Israel accountable for its actions.
I will encourage people to learn more so that we can work Together Against Apartheid."
