Smashing news: Koumbit and Aegir are off to London!
We've been talking about it for months. Now we're putting our money where our mouths are, and buying three tickets for DrupalCon London (August 22-26)! What's got us really stoked this time is Aegir. (“Eagur? Ayegir? WTF?” you might ask...)
Aegir is an application that simplifies the maintenance and deployment of multiple Drupal sites into a single interface (get caught up on the community site). You may remember that our very own Antoine Beaupré is THE project lead for Aegir, as well as an epic contributor to Drupal and a damn good sysadmin...which is why you shouldn't miss the opportunity to dive into Aegir with him and community coordinator Christopher Gervais. In addition to a super practical introduction to the software — from installation to debugging, community support and advanced wizardry — you'll get the benefit of their experience and intimate knowledge of the software and its development.
This will be our first official training at a DrupalCon, and we couldn't be more excited. In the coming weeks, we'll be filling in our lesson plan and thinking of other venues to spread our brand of Drupal automation awesomeness. In the mean time, we'll be taking your comments and contributions on Aegir's community site. Of course, we hope to get your feedback the old-fashioned way when we see some of you in London. We may even do a rerun of our immensely popular “Rosie the Drupaler” stickers from DC Chicago. And stay tuned, chances are we'll have more London-bound shenanigans to announce in the coming weeks!
Check it out on DrupalCon London's website — you can register for the conference and get the full low-down.
