Effective date:  Tue, 2010-07-06 19:00 - 20:00 Announcement Who is affected:  Shared hosting users and sites hosted on aegir.koumbit.net What will happen:  Servers will be rebooted to apply security upgrades. Also, 3 servers (including two in the shared hosting service) will have memory upgrades from 4 to 8GB. Why:  To ensure proper security on the servers and improve performance in the main shared hosting cluster. How:  During the maintenance window, servers will be rebooted for the Linux kernel upgrade. There will therefore be sporadic 5-10 minutes outages on the affected servers. Other servers will also be rebooted for memory upgrades. Objections:  If this intervention is too problematic for you or your organisation, please let us know within 24h to see if we can arrange otherwise.

Ce qui va arriver:  Les serveurs seront redémmarrés pour appliquer des mises à jour de sécurité. De plus, 3 serveurs verront leur mémoire vive augmenter de 4 Gio a 8 Gio. Pourquoi:  Pour assurer une sécurité continue sur nos serveurs et aussi améliorer la performance des serveurs dans les moments de surcharge. Commentaire:  Durant ces fenêtre de maintenance, les serveurs seront redémarré pour la mise à jour du noyau Linux. Par conséquent, il y aura des coupures sporadiques pendant 5 à 10 minutes. D'autres serveurs seront redémarrés pour installer de la mémoire vive. Objections:  Si cette intervention est trop problématique pour vous ou votre organisation, laissez-nous le savoir dans les 24h.
