Pop Montreal

Pop Montreal is an annual music festival in Montreal which features over 200 artists.

The popmontreal.com website features the programming schedule and a blog that allows visitors to follow the latest news from the festival and share their impressions.

Koumbit upgraded the Drupal content management system from version 5 to version 6 and, at the same time, converted a "multisite" into a single Drupal instance.

Koumbit also did a lot of work to enhance the site's performance, including implementing Pressflow, a Drupal distribution designed to withstand heavy loads, and Varnish, a high-performance accelerator and load manager. This approach allowed the site to remain accessible and responsive despite the large traffic spikes it experiences during the festival.
