Oxfam-Québec e-commerce website
Creation of the Sans emballage, si emballant (without packaging but thrilling) e-commerce website for Oxfam-Québec. Through its interface, customers can "buy" virtual animals or plants which symbolize various components of the Oxfam-Québec foreign aid program. After donating the money, customers can "give" the pet or plant as a gift to someone else, in the form of a HTML or PDF postcard.
The website was built with Drupal, while the e-commerce interface was built with Übercart. Payments proceed directly through the Desjardins integrated payment solution (SPID), thanks to an Übercart module specifically designed to that purpose.
In order to proceed directly with credit card payments, The Oxfam-Québec vServer was certified PCI-DSS (a Visa and MasterCard requirement). In the process, Koumbit became a certified SPID partner.
This sub-project was part of a larger contract with Oxfam-Québec that includes the drupalisation of their main website (see link below), the implementation of a CiviCRM–CiviMail member management system, as well as various online tools such as a water counter for kids (to be unveiled prior to World Water Day, 22 March 2008). Many of these tools are also part of the Public Services Against Poverty campaign.
