Design of a website, logo and business card for the ECOmunidades project

Koumbit was commissioned by Alternatives International to create a multilingual portal (Spanish, Portuguese, French, English) centered on social ecology projects & theory.

The ECOmunidades website features an event calendar and a "Project Data Sheet" content type, where multiple images can be uploaded and automatically converted into slideshows.

After importing the various Drupal language files, a lot of time was spent on the proper translation of the open publishing platform (description of the content types and their respective input fields) into Spanish and Portuguese.

Started in late November 2008, this website was delivered in January 2009, just in time for its unveiling at the World Social Forum held in Brazil from Jan. 27 to Feb. 1.

The design of the ECOmunidades logo was an important part of the contract. The client requested that we print it out on business cards, to be distributed at the above-mentioned event.
