Centre for Media Alternatives - Quebec (CMAQ)

Client:
Centre for Media Alternatives - Quebec (CMAQ)
Team:

The CMAQ is a member of the Indymedia (Independent Media Center) international network, and was set up in the spring of 2001 to provide independent coverage of the Summit of the Americas in Quebec City. The CMAQ is the ancestor of Koumbit, since its technical committee members are also the founding members of Koumbit.

The CMAQ website has been running under Drupal since its beginnings; it displays contents in three languages (French, English, Spanish) and was one of the very first open publishing media to appear in the francophone world.

Koumbit keeps hosting the CMAQ up to this day, and contributed to its software upgrades on an in-kind basis.
